Cyclists from across the Northwest Territories are invited to take part in the 15th annual Yellowknife to Hay River (YK2HR) bike ride, taking place June 5–7, 2026.
This iconic three-day journey covers approximately 500 km, connecting Yellowknife to Hay River through some of the North’s most stunning landscapes. Riders will begin at Fred Henne Park, take on two long days of riding, and cross the Dehcho Bridge before reaching Lady Evelyn Campground. The final day brings participants into Hay River, celebrating the accomplishment together.
Throughout the ride, participants will be supported with rest stops, meals, and a dedicated safety vehicle. The event continues to be a reflection of the strong and welcoming cycling community across the territory.
