Mountain Bike Coaching Clinic

September 21-23, 2024 (Yellowknife & Behckoko)

This NCCP (National Coach Certification Clinic) will be offered in Yellowknife and Behchoko, to train participants to become Introduction to Competition coaches in Cycling with the focus on Mountain Biking.

September 21, 2024 (Behchoko – Youth Centre) Skills & Tactics Theory (9am – 5pm)

This module includes an overview of NCCP Teaching and Learning, as well as NCCP Planning a Practice. It is intended for the context of coaching youth or adult learn to ride programs. Completion of this module will also credit you for completion of Cycling Practice Planning module in the Community Initiation pathway.

September 22, 2024 (Behchoko – Recreation Centre) Basic Cycling Skills (9am – 5pm)

This outdoor practice teaching module takes place in a closed environment (parking lot, field) and helps you practice instructing and coaching for the first time.

September 23, 2024 (Yellowknife – Tin Can Park) Skills & Tactics Practical Mountain Biking (9am – 5pm)

This in-person module is split between cycling disciplines and can be completed in a BMX, MTB, Track, or Road context.
