Territorial Cycling Championships – Coming Soon!

Cycling NWT is excited to launch the first-ever Territorial Cycling Championships, featuring both Road and Mountain Bike events in 2025!
We’ll begin with the Road Time Trials on May 4, with a 15km course and 1-minute interval starts. Four races are scheduled in total. The Mountain Bike portion will include four races as well, kicking off later in May — details to come!

These races will also serve as qualifying events for Canada Summer Games selection. While it’s not yet confirmed whether Team NT will send a cycling team to the Games, Cycling NWT is committed to preparing athletes and building readiness. The selection policy will be finalized and published after April 20th.

Whether you’re a seasoned rider or just getting started, this is your chance to race, grow, and connect with the cycling community across the North.

May 4 Race – 11am

It will be an 22 kilometre Individual Time Trial starting from Madeline Lake Territorial Park and ending at Prospector Trail Scenic Viewpoint. Riders will race against the clock and depart in one minute intervals from Madeline Lake (see attached course map). Riders will be categorized based on gender; I would like all riders to preregister prior to race day so I can seat them accordingly.

Chris Bruckner will host weekly group sessions every Saturday at 11:00 am. If you are interested in joining, please send him an e-mail [email protected].
